Interactions: Alcohol should be avoided because metronidazole and alcohol, nausea, vomiting, can cause cramps, flushing and headache. Metronidazole may increase the anticoagulant effect of warfarin (Coumadin) and increase the risk of bleeding. Cimetidine (Tagamet) increases blood levels of metronidazole.
You must wait at least a week after the last dose before treatment with the alcohol.

I expect that at least a few days or so after they stopped the med ... But you can ask your doctor or pharmacist to make sure that ... Can more than recommended, or if your system quickly next May, for drinking water permitted.
